BIG poster site at Centre Pont in London for our Nokia 'meet your city' campaign. There are a couple of familiar W+K faces on there, blown up to scary, giant size. Lucy is bottom left and Noe is fourth from left.
This is part of the campaign celebrating the opening of Nokia’s new flagship store on Regent Street, in Central London. The campaign takes the form of an exhibition that
brings together the creative talent of four high profile Londoners
representing film, music, sport and art to produce a series of one-off,
intimate portraits that capture London in 2008. Rap lyricist Dizzee Rascal, actress Jaime Winstone, footballer Darren Bent, and celebrity photographer Rankin have made films and portraits using Nokia devices. The portraits are on display in the Nokia store. You can also see them at the online gallery we've created: www.meet-your-city.com.
The aim is to create a portrait of London, mapping the city through the connections of its inhabitants rather than by its streets and landmarks. Londoners are encouraged to introduce a friend, via a mobile phone portrait made up of text and images, to the city. Once introduced, the chosen friend then introduces their connection, and so on, creating a chain of portraits.
