Really sorry to hear this. Martin contributed to my former magazine Brand Strategy on a number of occasions. He was always charming when my writers would ring up and demand to pick his brains for our features. He had great ideas and was always very sparky.
It's a terrible shame to hear this very sad news and all my sympathies and best wishes to all his family and friends.

One of the best. A lust for life that makes this news all the sadder. A constant source of inspiration and guidance, who made the world a more exciting, interesting and better place. He'll be sorely missed.

I've just heard the news and am terribly sad. I had the honour of working with Martin for a brief period in London in 2006-2007 and was amazed with his brilliance, his wit, his wonderful sense of humour and just simply, the lovely human being he was. Many mornings I would buy a latte for him and always remembered it had to be with soy milk. My deep condolences for Lotte and Casper and his whole family. Y.

I worked alongside Martin as a planner in London a couple of years back. He was very sparky, original, sharp, enthusiastic and always keen to help - even if he had no involvement in the brand or project. I lived in Rio and our conversations would invariably turn to Surfing - one of his passions. Strength to his wife and young son and here's hoping he's surfing up above.

Martin was one of those rare individuals who touch you in ways that only make you better. A better person, better at what you do. More importantly he always gave you better ideas than your own, and gave them generously and without pride or arrogance. I will miss my lunches, coffees and chats with my truly inspirational friend. Bless you Martin.

one great guy.

When he walked in the room he always captured the moment, he wasn't the life of the party he was the party. His wit was one of a kind. He touched many of us in ways that will never be forgotten, it stretched across the world he had no boundaries. My only wish is that someday little Casper realizes how great a man his father truly was! He will be sorely missed by all.

So sad when I got these news. I had the chance to work with Martin during the EURO 2008 campaign for Coke and he has been one of those seldom, great personalities in the advertising business that you always could trust and count on... someone you could talk about things as they are and had a lot of fun connecting on private stuff like kite surfing, too. He will be always remembered. My sincere condolences to Lotte, Casper and his family and friends. Ricardo

very, very sorry to hear about Martin. A huge character, very funny, always (at least) one step ahead of everyone else in the room and the coolest man in London despite the mad hair. RIP mate.
