Nokia - music almighty
These are our first Nokia ads to break in the UK since winning the business earlier this year. They are part of a campaign to support the launch of the Nokia 5310 and 5610 Xpressmusic phones. Posters, press, online and radio will run in December and January. The campaign was created by Ida and Fabian.

Sorry but i find them utterly tacky for such a beautifully designed product.

Still don't like the phones, but I like the ads. They are a tiiiny bit tacky, but no more so than any other music/mobile ad out there.
Oh, and my favourite one isnt there!

Im a big fan of retro headphones and when i first saw one of these on a bus stop i couldnt stop looking at it! Took me a while to notice it was about a phone but i bought some new headphones that day.

I have this phone - and I love your adverts.
Just wondering if you could tell me whether the radio adverisement for the project is available to listen to online - it's really catchy and seems to have stopped being played at my local radio station =(
Thankyoo!

Quite pretty, what's the strategy, or indeed the idea?
Posted by: Dave | June 12, 2008 at 02:05 PM
The idea was to showcase the amazing quality of nokia music devices through which you can enjoy the incredible range of music that there is in the world.
But hopefully most of the young target audience just looked at them and thought Nokia were doing something interesting, arresting and cool about music. and if they did, fine by me
Thanks for asking.

i think these are quite cool and i imagine they target different people / music tastes nicely. they grabbed my eye when i first saw them on a billboard.
my only criticism is that, from an art direction perspective, the phone doesn't look right. it needs to be treated to suit the 3d render of the headphones more. it looks like nokia supplied you a picture and it just got slapped on in a rush.

I believe the track is 'punk rock version of God' by Freelance Hellraiser.
