I love Garrison Keillor's voice - great spot. visual eye candy.

You may wish to check that URL. It takes me to your Webmail login page.

Everyone loves ROBOTS!!!

But isn't the 'old-man voice over' thing getting a bit tiresome now?

Link fixed. Garrison and his 'old man voice' are staying.

A problem with this ad, is that not many people will realise it's a real robot and not cgi. With that in mind it's really lacking a powerful idea that everyone can grasp quickly. It doesn't work as effectively as some of the other honda ads IMHO

I guess that the same criticism could have been made of Cog (you had to know it was real, not CGI), or Grrr (you had to know that Honda's chief engineer Kenichi Nagahiro hated diesels) or Impossible Dream (each vehicle in the ad had an 'impossible dream' behind it, that Honda turned into reality). All of these ads existed in the context of deeper content provided online and/or distributed on DVD. There is a wealth of further information about Asimo at the honda.co.uk website. Past experience suggests that the TV will drive interested parties to the site where they can get the full story.

I disagree. The other campaigns work without me knowing all those things. They work on different levels of understanding. You didn't have to know cog wasn't cgi because it was still a really cool, playful thing to watch. I think the song on Grrr gave away the meaning of the ad, plus it was nice animation to watch. Impossible Dream was also a very nice sequence to watch without the understanding.

Asimo requires you to have prior knowledge, and even with it, it's not that interesting to watch...

Hi, I'm from Japan.

Just wondering why no Japanese were interviewed in those six films? It seems bit odd...

So, the other Honda ads are great (Cog for example), but the ASIMO advert is just fantastic! Great stuff guys. Is there any others with ASIMO planned?

There are print executions and the five web films, but no more TV executions planned.
